The ARGEN HIV-1 qPCR Kit is approved for use with the Stratagene Mx3000p/Mx3005p or LineGene 9600 or LightCycler 2.0 or Rotor-Gene 3000/6000 or Applied Biosystems 7500 or the BIO-RAD CFX96 Real-Time PCR Detection System. This kit is approved for use with the ARGEN Viral Nucleic Acid Purification Kit. ARGEN HIV-1 qPCR Kit aims to assist in the management of patients with chronic HIV-1 infection and to establish a strategy for anti-viral therapy with all relevant clinical and laboratory findings. The ARGEN HIV-1 qPCR Kit uses an internal control that controls quantification standards and nucleic acid purification and amplification to obtain quantitative results. The target site is located in the gag gene region of the HIV-1 genome. HIV-1 RNA concentration is expressed in International Units/ml
(IU/ml).
